Notes.-

1. Darse prisa: ¿to give oneself haste¿ means ¿to hurry up¿. This is an example of a reflexive verb. A reflexive verb is one in which the direct or indirect object refers back to the subject of the verb. Examples: despertarse ¿to wake up¿; sentarse ¿to sit down¿. The reflexives pronouns (me, te, se, nos and os) must be used with these verbs. Indeed, the reflexive pronouns can also be used with a large number of ordinary verbs to express reciprocity put the verb in the passive mood (e. g. me llamo Juan: ¿I am called Juan¿).
