The future endings are as follows:

Verbs ended in (-ar, -er, -ir) : infinitive + é, ás, á, emos, éis, án

Examples: tomaré el tren : ¿I shall take the train¿; jugarás con él: ¿you will smoke a lot¿; telefonearán tarde: ¿they / you will phone late¿.

Remember that the endings given above are added to the infinitive, and not to the stem as in other tenses. (The stem is the infinitive without -ar, -er, -ir)

Negatives.- The simplest negative form is no, which always comes before the verb, thus: no tengo tiempo : ¿I haven't time¿.

Other negatives words include nunca, jamás: ¿never¿; nada : ¿nothing¿; ¿nadie¿: ¿nobody¿ ; tampoco : ¿neither¿; ninguno : ¿none¿; ni : ¿neither / nor¿ .

These words can be used before the verb, in which case they stand alone, or after the verb, in which case they need the no before the verb.

In Spanish, two negatives don't make a positive. Example: No hemos nunca visto a nadie: ¿We have never seen anybody¿.
